Embedding e-Resources in BigSky: Videos

Academic Video Online (AVON) delivers almost 65,000 video titles spanning the widest range of subject areas including anthropology, business, counseling, film, health, history, music, and more.

Find the Embed Code of a Streaming Video

1. Search for streaming videos in the Academic Video Online (AVON) database. Enter your InfoNet credentials when prompted to log in.

2. Once you have completed your search, click on the title of the video.

3. Click on the Share tab on top of the video player.

 

4. Click the Copy Embed Code button.

 

5. The button will become green when the embed code has been successfully copied to your clipboard.

 

6. You may edit the width and height values indicated on the copied embed code before pasting into BigSky.

 

Integrate into BigSky

  1. In the Module where you wish to embed the video, click on New.
  2. Click Video or Audio.
  3. In the field that says Enter URL or Embed Code, paste the embed code copied from the Streaming Video platform.
  4. Title your video.
  5. Select Preview.
  6. Click Save.
