Find the Permalink of an e-Book

1. Search for e-resources in the Gale eBooks database. Enter your InfoNet credentials when prompted to log in.

2. Once you have completed your search, click on the title of the e-book.

3. Look for the Get Link icon located in the toolbar on the upper right side of the page and click on it.

4. A new box will appear. Click on the Select button to highlight the URL. Copy the permalink provided.

Find the Permalink of a Report

Permalink for Featured Reports

 

1. Go to the home page of the EMIS University Global database. Enter your InfoNet credentials when prompted to log in.

2. The featured reports can be found on the home page. Click on the title of the featured report you want to access.

 

3. Look for the Share link icon located in the Tools section on the left side of the page and click on it.

 

4. The Permalink box will appear. Click on the Copy button to highlight and copy the permalink.

 

Permalink for Individual Reports

 

1. Search for e-resources in the EMIS University Global database. Enter your InfoNet credentials when prompted to log in.

2. Once you have completed your search, look for the View as HTML link under the title of the report and click on it.

 

3. Copy the URL from your browser address bar. Make sure it has the LRC proxy to be redirected to the exact page when accessing off-campus.

1. Search for e-resources in the Passport GMID database. Enter your InfoNet credentials when prompted to log in.

2. Once you have completed your search, click on the title of the report.

3. Look for the Share my link icon located in the Tools section under the title of the report and click on it.

 

4. The Permalink box will appear. Click on the URL to highlight it. Copy the permalink provided.

 

1. Search for e-resources in the World's Global Style Network database. Enter your InfoNet credentials when prompted to log in.

2. Log in to your WGSN account and start your search.

3. Once you have completed your search, click on the title of the report.

4. Copy the URL from your browser address bar. Make sure it has the LRC proxy to be redirected to the exact page when accessing off-campus.

Integrate into BigSky

Once you have copied the permalink to the e-book/report, there are 2 ways you can add it to your BigSky Course:

1. Insert as Create a File

  1. In BigSky module, Select New > Create a File
  2. In the Rich Text Editor, type the title of the e-book/report as well as some bibliographic information.
  3. Highlight the e-book/report title, Insert Quicklink > Scroll down to URL
  4. Paste the copied permalink into the URL field. This link will take the student to the record of the e-book/report.

2. Insert as Create a Link

  1. Go to the module where you'd like to link to the e-book/report and click New.
  2. Select Create a  Link
  3. Add Title (e-book/report title).
  4. Paste copied permalink in URL.
