Kalinga Related Literature Reading List

Last year, I learned about the Kalinga Ethnoarchaeological Project. William Longacre and James M. Skibo are two prominent professors on this subject who delve into ceramics and its socio-cultural significance in Kalinga. These are a few of the resources that I have read that made me curious about how we were portrayed, talked about, and studied. It made me curious to learn about customs I witnessed as a child from a foreign perspective and this deep dive left me with more appreciation of the details behind rituals, ceremonial costumes, and ceramics.

Kung sa musika ay may genre na 'easy listening', ang tatlong libro sa listahang ito ay ang masasabi kong pasok sa kategoryang 'easy reading'. Madaling magustuhan at madaling basahin ang mga akdang ito sapagkat ang mga kwentong kanilang inilalahad ay batay sa mga tipikal na karanasan ng mga Pilipino sa modernong panahon. Tiyak na makaka-relate ang mambabasa sa mga nakakatawang alaala sa eskwelahan, 'di malilimutang samahan at pagkakaibigan, at iba't ibang karanasan sa pakikipagka-ibigan. Kung ang iyong hanap ay mga babasahing gugustuhin mong basahin mula simula hanggang wakas, eh eto ka na nga....
