Benildeans, get ready! CLR is celebrating National Book Week 2025 with two exciting activities that will make you think, reflect, and enjoy the world of stories.
Join us for "A is for Agustin", a heartwarming story about a man who leaves his job to pursue education as an adult. Over six years, he balances learning with supporting his family. The film is a story of hope, perseverance, and the courage to chase your dreams.
After the screening, stay for a short post-film discussion with our very own Benildean Faculty from the Film Program, Mr. Jag Garcia.
While watching the film, join our Facebook challenge and you could win Starbucks Gift Certificates!
Judging Criteria: Insightfulness, creativity, and clarity. Posts can be reflective or creative as long as they show genuine engagement with the film.
Note: You may include a photo taken during the screening to boost creativity, but this is optional.
Join us for a Book Talk with two Filipino authors:
The authors will share the stories behind their books and explore themes of culture, empathy, and social responsibility. There will also be time for questions and discussion. Seats are limited to 60 participants, so register early.
