In celebration of the Library and Information Services (LIS) Month 2020 and National Book Week (NBW) 2020, the Br. Fidelis Leddy Learning Resource Center (LRC) conducted a series of learning events and fun contests via Zoom and its social media pages from 16 to 27 November 2020.
As the LRC continuously intensify its online presence and provision of virtual services, this year’s commemoration aimed to: (1) connect and engage with Benildeans through fun and informative activities; (2) promote LRC’s resources, services, and facilities; (3) increase LRC’s social media following and engagement; and, (4) raise awareness on the objectives of the LIS Month and NBW celebrations.
Members of the Benildean Community attended and participated in the following activities that were lined up for the said celebrations:

In The Reasons Why I ❤ Benilde LRC Video Contest, Benildeans showed their creativity and passion for communicating their love for the LRC.

Six (6) Benildeans joined our #BooksAreEssential Challenge on Facebook. Using any book (print or digital), they took a photo in imitation of these samples and told us why books are essential.

In #MemoriesAtTheLRC Photo Contest, Benildeans reminisced with us their fondest memories at the LRC by uploading their favorite photos on Instagram.

Benildeans on Twitter, on the other hand, were treated to The LRC Trivia Quiz, a fun contest where their skills in using LRC online resources were put to the test. Every 6:00 pm of November 24, 25 & 26, they tuned in to @BenildeLRC’s Twitter page to view the Trivia Question of the Day. A mystery phrase was formed from the answers to the three trivia questions. The mystery phrase was: "Your Gateway to Extraordinary" -- LRC's tagline which was adopted just this 2020 and was first introduced in the BOLT students' orientation last July.
