Learning Session with LaRCy

The Br. Fidelis Leddy Center for Learning Resources (CLR) supports the information and research needs of its community and part of it is to empower learners to understand and maximize the use of its various internet-based resources and services and take advantage of emerging technologies. It is for this purpose that requesting for an CLR orientation and/or database training is now made easier with the “Learning Session with LaRCy” request form.

A Learning Session with LaRCy can be requested by Benildean faculty to be scheduled as a synchronous session for their students. This service is also open to groups of associates and students who would want to be updated with CLR's services.

PROCEDURE

  1. Fill out the form by clicking on the request button below. Requests shall be made at least 5-7 days in advance for proper coordination.

2. Wait for an e-mail confirmation from CLR containing the details of the session and the unique registration link for dissemination to the attendees. If the request cannot be accommodated on your preferred schedule, CLR will send an e-mail regarding alternative schedules.

3. Disseminate the unique registration link to your students or fellow associates.

4. Join the learning session on the scheduled date and time.

5. Accomplish the evaluation form which will be made available to the participants after the session to assess the effectiveness of the training.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

  • Proposed or requested schedule must be within Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM only, for 1st term, AY 2023-2024.
  • Should there be a College memo/announcement to suspend/postpone synchronous sessions, all approved sessions within the period specified will be cancelled automatically. The Readers' Services Head/Librarian in-charge will send an email to the requester to inform him/her of the cancellation and will ask for a new schedule.
  • CLR has the right to decline or request to reschedule a training request that is not feasible, has conflict with a plotted schedule and does not conform with the written policy.
  • CLR can only accommodate two (2) learning sessions a day. A first-come, first-served basis will be applied in the scheduling of the training requests.
  • All virtual sessions are synchronous. Recording will only be done upon consent of all the attendees. Consent will also be obtained when taking photos during and after the session for documentation purposes and for posting via CLR's social media accounts.
